Connect Sport Psychology
A sport psychology practice in Bristol and online, run by an HCPC-registered psychologist, supporting athletes, coaches, clubs, schools and businesses.
Connect Sport Psychology is the practice of Louis Ross, who says he is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist. He works from Bristol and online across the UK. He studied on a football scholarship in the USA, then completed an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology, and says he has worked across more than 20 sport and performance settings, from grassroots to elite.
Support is one to one or in groups. Athletes, coaches and parents can ask for help with confidence, competition nerves, recovering from a setback or simply sharpening their mental approach, and junior athletes are welcome. A 20-minute introductory call comes first, with no referral or diagnosis needed, and the plan is agreed together rather than prescribed.
Clubs, schools and businesses can ask for squad and staff workshops, season-long support built into the coaching set-up, and Spotlight profiling, a psychological profile followed by a session that turns the report into practical next steps, for adults aged 18 and over. The approach is person-centred and built on the relationship, and aims to leave people able to cope well on their own.
