Privacy policy
This policy explains how Padel League UK collects, uses, shares and looks after your personal information, and what choices you have. Padel League UK is a trading name of Padel League Network Ltd. We try to collect only what we need.
Last updated 14 October 2026. Padel League Network Ltd, company number 16717189, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 31 Cornish Park Road, Spennymoor, DL16 7WE.
Who we are
Padel League Network Ltd, trading as Padel League UK, decides how and why your information is used on this website and for our leagues. In data protection law, that makes us the controller. Company number: 16717189 (registered in England and Wales). Registered office: 31 Cornish Park Road, Spennymoor, DL16 7WE.
You can contact us at info@ukpadelleague.co.uk. Questions about your information go to the same address.
What we collect and why
What we collect depends on how you use our website and leagues.
- Register interest form: your chosen league, first name and email address, whether you want to hear by email or text, your mobile number (only if you ask for texts), and whether you have a partner (optional). We also keep the page you came from, any campaign details in the link you followed, your IP address, and the date and time, as a record of your sign-up. We use this to tell you when entry opens and to remind you before it closes.
- Marketing choices: if you tick a marketing box, we keep a record of what you agreed to and when.
- Sponsorship and club enquiry forms: your name, business or club, email address, phone number (optional), area, interest and message. These are emailed to our team so we can reply. They are not stored on the website.
- Player support form: your name, contact details and whatever you write. If you tell us about an injury or illness, that is health information. Please share only what you are comfortable with. We use it only to deal with your request.
- The app: you enter a league, create an account and pay in the Padel League UK app, which is provided by Vola Play SL. The app holds your account details, your team and partner, entries, payments, fixtures and results. We receive what we need to run the leagues, such as who has entered, their league and results, and a list of sign-ups. If you give an ambassador's name when you sign up, we use it to work out rewards. Payments are taken in the app by its payment provider. We do not take payments on this website.
- Entry forms for leagues that do not use the app: Glasgow, Edinburgh, North East, Yorkshire, North West, London, Dorset, West Sussex, Wiltshire and Derbyshire use an online Jotform entry form. It collects each player's name, postcode, email address and mobile number, your answers about your playing level, an optional friend's name, and your payment through the form's payment page. We use it to place you in a division, run the league and contact you about it. These leagues submit scores in Padelmates (Padel Mates), which receives your name and email to set up your account.
- Masters Series Finals tickets: ticket buyers give their details through a Jotform ticket form. We use them to issue your tickets and to run the event.
- WhatsApp: if you join a league community or a division group, your name and phone number are visible to the group's admins and may be visible to other members. We keep Approve new participants switched on, so an admin approves everyone who joins. WhatsApp is run by Meta and has its own privacy policy.
- Court booking: players book and pay for courts themselves, usually through Playtomic or directly with the venue. Those services have their own privacy policies.
- Social media: if you follow, message or comment on our Instagram, Facebook or TikTok pages, we can see what you share.
- Photos and video: at events such as the Masters Series Finals, we may take photos and video and may stream live on Instagram. We may post them on this website and on social media.
- Website visits: our UK web host keeps standard records of visits, such as the IP address, page and time, for security. The website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools. The Find your nearest league search runs in your browser, and what you type is not sent to us. To stop spam, we briefly note (for up to an hour) how often a form is used from one internet address.
Our reasons for using your information
The law says we must have a lawful basis for each use. Ours are:
- Consent: telling you when entry opens for a league you chose, email or text marketing, photos where you are named or clearly shown in our promotion, and any health information you choose to tell us. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract: running your league entry, fixtures, results, payments and refunds.
- Legitimate interests: answering enquiries and support requests, running and promoting our leagues, keeping the website secure, preventing spam, and photos taken at events where you are part of a crowd. We have weighed these against your rights.
- Legal duty: keeping accounts and tax records, and meeting our safeguarding responsibilities.
- Keeping people safe: where we need to protect a child or someone at risk, as set out in our safeguarding policy.
Marketing
Email and text marketing are two separate choices. Both are optional, and the boxes are never ticked for you. Entering a league, registering interest and joining WhatsApp never depend on ticking them. Messages that tell you when entry opens for a league you chose are not marketing.
If you choose email, we use MailerLite to send it. We ask you to confirm by clicking a link in a first email, and every email has an unsubscribe link. If you choose texts, we keep your choice and your mobile number. We have not started sending texts yet. When we do, every text will say how to stop. You can also change your mind at any time by emailing info@ukpadelleague.co.uk.
We do not give your details to sponsors or partners for their own marketing unless you have agreed.
Children and young people
Players must be 16 or over. Players aged 16 or 17 need a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian agrees to the player taking part, comes with the player to matches and league events, and handles all communication about fixtures, disputes or league administration on the player's behalf. Our safeguarding policy has the full rules.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If we find that we have, we will delete it. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to use our website forms for you. We use photos and video of players under 18 only with a parent or guardian's permission. We do not send marketing to anyone under 18 unless a parent or guardian has agreed.
Who we share your information with
We share information only where we need to, with these groups:
- Vola Play SL, which provides the app, and the app's payment provider.
- MailerLite, which holds our email lists and sign-up records.
- Jotform, which provides the player support form and the Masters Series Finals ticket form.
- Our UK web host, which hosts this website and the email mailbox for info@ukpadelleague.co.uk.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and the social media platforms we use.
- Other players, where needed to play: your opponents can see your name and fixture details in the app, and your phone number may show in your division WhatsApp group.
- Sponsors: only if you have agreed.
- Advisers, regulators, the police and children's services, where the law requires it or to protect someone.
Agreements with our providers
We only use providers that need your information to give us their service. Most may use it only for that. Meta, Playtomic and the payment provider may be separate controllers with their own privacy policies.
Transfers outside the UK
MailerLite, Jotform and Meta may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. When that happens, we make sure there is a safeguard, such as the UK-US data bridge for certified US companies, or standard contract terms approved for UK use.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it. The periods are:
- Register interest and marketing details: until you unsubscribe, or two years after you last opened or clicked one of our emails. After you unsubscribe, we keep a short note so that we do not contact you again.
- Enquiry emails from sponsors and clubs: two years after our last contact, or for the length of any agreement and six years after it.
- Support requests: two years after the request is dealt with. Health details are deleted once it is dealt with.
- League entries, results and payment records: six years, which tax and accounts rules usually require.
- Masters Series Finals ticket records: six years for payment records, and other details for one year after the event.
- Safeguarding records: as long as the law and sports guidance advise, which can be many years.
- Photos and video: while we use them. We remove them if you ask.
- Website server records: as long as our web host keeps them, usually weeks or months.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, including limiting who in our team can see it. No online system is completely secure.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it
- object to us using it, including for marketing
- ask for your information in a form you can move to another service
- withdraw your consent at any time
How to use your rights
Email info@ukpadelleague.co.uk, or tap the Player Support button in the app. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to prove who you are. It is free to ask. A parent or guardian can act for a player under 18. We do not make decisions about you using automated systems alone.
Complaints
Please tell us first, so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or by phone on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no tracking tools. The player support form is provided by Jotform and may set its own cookies. See our Cookies page at www.ukpadelleague.co.uk/cookies/.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make an important change, we will tell you by email if we have your address.
