Introducing the Birmingham Padel League
Padel League UK is proud to introduce the Birmingham Padel League. It is the new name for the Midlands Padel League, and it has a clear focus: competitive padel in Birmingham and the area around it, close to home. Entry opened on Monday 26 October, and the first round starts on Monday 30 November.
If you were already part of the Midlands Padel League, the league carries on under its new name. The WhatsApp community link is the same one, and it now says Birmingham. If you are in it, you do not need to do anything.
What is the Birmingham Padel League?
It is weekly padel for teams of two, played at your level. You enter with a partner, you are placed in a division with pairs of a similar standard, and you play fixtures through the winter season with promotion and prizes to play for. Everything runs through the Padel League UK app: you register your team, arrange your matches, submit your scores and follow the table, all in one place.
The league is open to every level, from beginner to advanced. When you sign up you answer a few questions about your level and experience, and we place you in a division that suits you.
You pick the venue
The Birmingham Padel League is not tied to one club. For every fixture, the four players agree on a padel venue in or around Birmingham that works for everyone, on any day and at any time that suits all four.
- Agree a venue. Any padel venue that is convenient for both pairs. Suggest two or three, so your opponents have options.
- Book the court. The match captain books through the venue's own booking system.
- Share the cost. All four players pay their share straight away. Court hire is not included in the league entry.
A few tips from us: take turns, so that if you travelled last time it is fair to suggest somewhere nearer to you next time, and check when courts are released at the venues you use, so you can book early.
Dates for the Winter 2026-27 season
- Entry opened: Monday 26 October 2026.
- Entry closes: Sunday 22 November 2026, or sooner once 40 pairs are in. Places are limited to 40 pairs, and once they are gone you will be added to the waiting list.
- Round 1 starts: Monday 30 November 2026. Divisions are confirmed before then.
- The season ends on Sunday 7 February 2027: eight rounds plus a catch-up week.
Divisions have 6 to 9 pairs. You play every other pair in your division once during the season.
What it costs
Entry is £65 per team, paid in the app, which works out at £32.50 each. If one of you played in a Padel League UK league last season, the team pays £50 instead, and the £15 comes off automatically in the app. Players bring their own equipment and balls.

- Download the Padel League UK app, free from the App Store or Google Play.
- Choose the Birmingham Padel League. You and your partner each sign up in the app.

Already have the app? Use this button to go straight to the Birmingham Padel League in it:
On a computer, the link opens a page that points you to the app stores, so it is easiest to open it on your phone. If you have not got a partner yet, the app has a Find a partner button to help.
Who can play
Teams of two, aged 16 and over. Players aged 16 or 17 need a parent or guardian with them at matches and league events. It is one team, in one league, per player per season.
